I love the cool colours of this, makes me think of winter in England where I remember the cold even if I don't want to feel it again :-)

A quick and easy flat card I made today for a friends birthday. As you can see I used the cuttlebug to add some definition and the nestabilities circles for the sentiment

Quilt for Caitlyn
I had a new Granddaughter born in March.........although I am not a quilter...in fact I don't often sew at all!! I made a quilt for her. I had previously made a very easy one, for my first Granddaughter ..luckily a friend helped me out with this one as it is a bit more complicated........but here it is, there is another already made now for my third Granddaughter due in November but I can't display it yet as it is to be a surprise for her parents.

Tiger lillies
A friend of mine got married about a month ago, her bouquet was made from Tiger Lillies, I wasn't really sure on how to make them but searched on the web for a picture and worked from there, I was happy with the result and the bride was thrilled, a keepsake to remind her of her special day

Mizuhiki knot
This is a card I made for a friend who was sick. I wanted to send her love and luck so tied a Mizuhiki knot which the Japanese use for luck, they are a little complicated to work out and each time I make one I have to look at the instructions again. This is one of the more simple knots to tie, I haven't mastered the others yet........but I will given time!!! :-)

Kusudama Ball
Here is the Kusudama ball I have enjoyed working on this week, I have developed a real love for folding paper!! I am going to try and make a smaller one out of pastel colours now that I have the hang of the folds. I hope the photo is not too blurry, I had trouble getting it to hang still, even though I had no air conditioning on today, it still seemed to be moving..........or maybe that was me LOL

I have been making cards now for about nine years, mostly with the floral punchcraft but just recently I have been trying other types of paper craft. This week I have been following a tutorial from Folding Trees on how to make a kusudami ball, this is a type of origami and is very pretty, I will post to my blog once finished with a link on how to do this. The card I am showing today is an orchid card that I made to show my class last week. I teach one night a week at Megascrap scrapbooking store in Newcastle NSW.

Here are a few of my Floral punchcraft cards, they are made with paper punches and then shaped and moulded using tools and paper shapers. , the white card is a Camellia and so is the pale pink one, the deeper pink flower is made using a bumble bee punch and trimming the punched shapes down to make the petal
