Tilda with lilacs and punched lilacs

Hi all this is a new stamp for me it was a bonus from Bec at: http://www.bizzybecscardmakingscrapbooking.com.au
She has been wonderfully helpful with my ordering so thought I would give her a quick plug on here!! Thanks Bec you have been tremendous......

I coloured the Tilda with prismacolour pencils and punched the Lilacs out and made them by hand.....another learning curve for me, had the pattern for ages and never tried it, will make the full version very soon as I really enjoyed it.

Happy Australia Day

A very Happy Australia Day everyone, I am going with hubby and friends for a BBQ breakfast at the breakwall near the beach, then a picnic lunch, massive thunder storms here last night so hopefully a bit cooler today, mind you they are forecasting 35C and I don't like that very much, being originally from England!! a bit hot for me, but of course I much prefer it to the snow LOL
Take care and have a great day!!

Papertake Weekly Challenge

Here is a card I have just made to enter in to the Paper Take Weekly Challenge, the theme this week is Pink...you can use other colours as well but pink has to be the dominant colour.  This is the first challenge I have entered and having seen some of the other entries, I haven't much chance of winning, but that doesn't matter it is all a learning curve for me and any kind of learning is a good thing eh?

the doll image is a free one downloaded from
http://dulemba.com/index_ColoringPages.html
if you copy and paste the link you will be able to download, sorry I am not sure how to create a link yet????These images are from an author of children's books so please give her site a visit!!

Prismacolours with Papermania

I just finished this card, it was a trial as hubby bought me some prismacolour pencils for my birthday yesterday, so of course I had to try them as soon as possible, I really like how you can blend them just by colouring on the top of each colour, but I must get some of the mineral spirits you all talk about.  The stamp I used was from Papermania, because I was in a hurry I used flowers from the rapide range at floralpunchcraft.com they are just peel and stick and are the colours I wanted.

Whiff of Joy

Hi all, got a whiff of Joy stamp for xmas, here is the first card made from it, I used twinkling H2O's to colour it, I have had them for years and this is the first time I have used them!! I love the little tree stamp with the fairies playing on the swings so wanted it to look as tho this one was flying down to join them. On closer look maybe I should have stamped another tree on the left side, will see if I can do that now.........Jenni

My first Tilda

I have been sooo envious of all the beautiful magnolia stamped cards out there, with the cute Tilda's.  Here is my poor effort, I only have watercolour pencils at the moment, I did treat myself to one copic marker (LOL Last of the big spenders) I got myself a flesh coloured one, but really couldn't get on with it at all, I think you must need different cardstock to stamp on as I found that when I tried to use the blender pen my image was peeling away in places, maybe I was pressing too hard, dont' know, but anyway here she is, she is my first and I love her!!! The little flowers I made myself using the floret and corner flower punches.

Hatsumode

Hatsumode is the first visit to a shrine or a temple in the New Year. This year was my Granddaughters first visit, my son was dressed in a Hakama and my Daughter in law in a kimono. The little one was also wrapped in an expensive kimono. I know its not craft, but couldn't resist sharing.  Would have loved to be there with them to share such a special occasion......never mind, I am visiting in March

Happy New Year

Or should I say Happy New Decade? this has been an amazing time for looking back and remembering, so many things have happened to most people in the last ten years....What will happen in the next ten? I have three new Granddaughters which has brightened my life considerably, I have seen my husband have quadruple bypass surgery and recover.......My youngest boy got married to a wonderful girl and is very happy with his two daughters, my eldest boy got married, divorced and remarried now to a lovely girl and is finally happy with a new daughter......I lost my Mum.....looking back on all the triumphs and tragedies I have worked out that it is true what they say, live every day as if it's your last and enjoy every second of this one life that we get, you never know what is round the corner!!  A very SAFE, Happy and HEALTHY New Year to all ........hugs Jenni x0x0x
